Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropic Focus
The Kindly Hearts Initiative
The Kindly Hearts Initiative serves as the umbrella to our national philanthropic focus of supporting children and teens experiencing foster care or homelessness. Alpha Xi Deltas across the country support two Key Impact Organizations, FosterClub and StandUp for Kids, making a national and regional difference under the umbrella of our focus.
Letters of Love
All Alpha Xi Delta chapters and alumnae associations participate in Letters of Love, Alpha Xi Delta’s national letter writing fundraising campaign. Held annually during the month of November this campaign benefits Alpha Xi Delta’s two Key Impact Organizations, StandUp for Kids and FosterClub.
Our Chapter's Impact:
Alpha Xi Delta is proud to have the Kindly Hearts Initiative as our Philanthropy, focusing on supporting children experiencing foster care or homelessness through national impact organizations FosterClub and StandUp for Kids. Alpha Xi Delta believes that all children deserve access to love, support and basic needs that lay a strong foundation for life. Alpha Xi Delta is dedicated to supporting FosterClub, StandUp for Kids and our local impact organization Mary's Place through our annual events Letters of Love and the AmaXing Challenge, as well as feeds and local service opportunities.
Local Impact Organizations
Locally, we partner with Mary's Place through volunteering opportunities and fundraising efforts! This spring we hosted a SpikeBall and Snow Cone event, as well as a donation drive, with all the proceeds going to Mary's Place a local organization who's mission is to ensure no child sleeps outside. Additionally, we participate in profit shares at local restaurants and volunteer personally at Mary's Place downtown location.
Additional Philanthropic Events
The Nu chapter additionally supports the philanthropic efforts of the wider University of Washington Panhellenic and IFC councils through buying into and participating in feeds and philanthropy events of other chapters across out campus.
